2 Job Description:

As a Teacher at Nicolas Robinson School, you will deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and academic excellence. You will plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards while fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Teachers are expected to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to ensure every student reaches their full potential through innovative teaching practices and continuous assessment.

3 Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in your subject area.
  • Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities that support student learning.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate student performance using various assessment methods.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance, academic records, and progress reports.
  • Integrate educational technology into classroom instruction where appropriate.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, professional development, and school improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to improve curriculum delivery and student achievement.
  • Organize and supervise co-curricular and extracurricular activities as assigned.
  • Uphold the school’s vision, mission, values, policies, and professional standards.
  • Promote student welfare, safeguarding, and ethical behavior at all times.

4Additional Responsibilities by Subject

Mathematics Teacher

  • Teach mathematical concepts using practical and analytical approaches.
  • Prepare students for internal and national examinations.
  • Encourage logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Physics Teacher

  • Conduct laboratory demonstrations and practical experiments safely.
  • Teach theoretical and applied physics concepts.
  • Promote scientific inquiry and experimentation.

Chemistry Teacher

  • Plan and supervise chemistry laboratory activities.
  • Ensure proper handling of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
  • Encourage scientific investigation and analytical thinking.

History Teacher

  • Deliver lessons that develop historical understanding and critical analysis.
  • Encourage research, discussion, and interpretation of historical events.
  • Promote appreciation of national and world history.

Geography Teacher

  • Teach physical and human geography using maps, GIS, and field-based learning where appropriate.
  • Develop students’ understanding of environmental sustainability and global issues.

ICT Teacher

  • Teach computer applications, programming fundamentals, digital literacy, and emerging technologies.
  • Support students in responsible and safe use of technology.
  • Maintain ICT laboratory discipline and equipment.

English Teacher

  • Teach English language, grammar, literature, reading, writing, listening, and communication skills.
  • Improve students’ academic writing and language proficiency.
  • Encourage reading culture and critical thinking.

Spoken English Teacher

  • Develop learners’ oral communication, pronunciation, fluency, and presentation skills.
  • Conduct interactive speaking activities, debates, interviews, and conversation sessions.
  • Build students’ confidence in everyday and professional English communication.

5 Required Skills:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the relevant field of specialization.
  • Teaching qualification or Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) is an advantage.

Experience

  • Fresh graduates with outstanding academic performance may also apply for selected positions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (preferred).

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office,

  • Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Google Classroom, or similar).
  • Online teaching platforms (preferred).
